Job Description

The candidate will be in charge of cleaning the crop.
The candidate will be in charge of cleaning the greenhouse.
The candidate will be in charge of harvesting vegetables by hand.
The candidate will be in charge of harvesting seedlings.
The candidate will be in charge of hoeing crops.
The candidate will be expected to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
The candidate will be in charge of stone and/or wood picking.
The candidate will be in charge of vegetable culling.
The candidate will be in charge of the vertical farming system.
The candidate will be in charge of weeding.
The candidate will be in charge of harvesting crops.
The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
The candidate will be required to write basic progress reports on a daily basis.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
Candidate having experience is an asset.
The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
The candidate must be well-organized.
The candidate should be a good team player.

Work Site Environment

Farm operations include fruit and vegetable combination farming and other vegetables and melon farming (except potato).
The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work Setting

Accommodation will be provided for the candidate.
The candidate must be willing to work in urban, rural, and remote areas.
The candidate will be required to work in various locations.

Experience and Specialization

Equipment and machinery experience

The candidate must have prior experience with a farm truck, a loader, planting equipment, and a tractor.

Automated systems experience

The candidate must have prior experience with an automated irrigation system, an automated environmental control system, a feeding and watering system, and a storage and silage system.
