Job Description

• The candidate must consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients’ physical and mental health.
• The candidate will be responsible for prescribing and administering medications and treatments as needed.
• The candidate will be responsible for performing and assisting in routine surgery.
• The candidate will be responsible for inoculating and vaccinating patients to prevent and treat diseases.
• The candidate will be responsible for participating in health care policy and planning.
• The candidate will be responsible for advising patients on health care.
• The candidate must supervise staff.
• The candidate must act as the patient advocate.
• The candidate will be responsible for coordinating or managing primary patient care.
• The candidate will be responsible for providing acute care management.
• The candidate will be responsible for providing counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.
• The candidate will be responsible for supervising home care services.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• The candidate must have a Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
• The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must supervise staff in various areas of responsibility.
• The candidate must obtain certification from the College of Family Physicians (CFP) and acquire licensure from the appropriate provincial or territorial authority.

• The candidate must work in a private practice.
