Factory Laborer

Bestar based in Lac-Mégantic, QC, is looking for Factory Laborer with 2 vacancies. The ones chosen to be employed will be required to start as soon as possible. Shifts will vary from Evening to Night and the candidate may be required to come in early morning as well. Bestar has an approved Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to hire a foreign worker to fill skills shortages or labor shortages on a temporary basis. The vacancies refer to that of a term or contract employment and a full time job.

Job description

  • The candidate will be required to sort materials and products.
  • The candidate will be required to pack materials and products.
  • The candidate will be required to crate and package materials and products.
  • The candidate will be required to perform other laboring.
  • The candidate will be required to conduct certain other elemental activities.
  • The candidate will be required to clean machines,
  • The candidate will be required to clean immediate work areas.
  • The candidate will be required to check materials and products.
  • The candidate will be required to weigh materials and products.
  • The candidate will be required to assist machine operators.
  • The candidate will be required to assist assemblers and other workers.
  • The candidate will be required to transport raw materials across the plant.
  • The candidate will be required to transport finished products throughout the plant.
  • The candidate will be required to transport equipment throughout the plant.
  • The candidate will be required to conduct transportation manually.
  • The candidate will be required to conduct transportation using powered equipment.

Requirements

  • The candidate does not require any degree, certificate or diploma to apply for this job.
  • Experience of the candidate in the concerned field will be given preference.
  • The work will involve a combination of bending, crouching and kneeling which the candidate should be comfortable with.
  • The tasks will be repetitive in nature and hence the candidate should be comfortable with it.
  • The candidate will be required to stand for extended periods and hence should be comfortable with it.
  • The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads.
  • The work will be physically demanding and hence the candidate should be comfortable with it.
