Job Description

  • The candidate must prepare material cost and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications.
  • The candidate must develop electrical and electronic components, systems, and equipment.
  • The candidate must oversee and inspect the installation and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
  • The candidate must develop maintenance and operational standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
  • The candidate must investigate electrical or electronic failures.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for construction or maintenance.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be eligible for Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) registration with a provincial or territorial association.
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Computer and technology knowledge

  • The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD, and MS Office.

Area of work experience

  • The candidate must have work experience in Design, Installation, maintenance, and inspection of equipment or facilities, Project management, Specification or technical writing, and Engineering professional and construction management (EPCM).

Area of specialization

  • The candidate must be skilled in System integration, Electrical, Electronics (industrial), and Control systems.
