Job Description

The candidate must drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
The candidate must drive lighter, special-purpose trucks.
The candidate must load and unload goods.
The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
The candidate must inspect the vehicle’s condition, including the brakes, tires, lights, and other essential components.
The candidate must perform preventive maintenance.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
The candidate must have an AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement Certification, DZ class license, Working at Heights training Certification, Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance Certificate, and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Certification.
The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
The candidate should be organized and flexible.

Experience and specialization

Documentation knowledge

The candidate must be knowledgeable about driver logbooks, inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), and maintenance and repair reports.

The candidate must have experience operating flatbed trucks.

Transportation/travel experience

The candidate must have transportation and travel experience at the national level.

The candidate must undergo a driver’s licence validity check and a driving record check (abstract).
