The Director-level Application Support role will oversee the entire support of a number of systems for FX, Commodities, Prime Services, and Collateral Management as well as incident management and working towards a stable over ten major platforms. He/she is the supervisor of the global teams and the business stakeholders’ and the technological leadership’s contact under the highest level.

Job Description

  • The director who leads application support to systems has the responsibility for overseeing the areas of foreign exchange, commodities, prime services, and collateral management.
  • The director operates in a workplace culture that is inclusive, high-performing, innovative, and supportive.
  • He/she is responsible for incident, change, reporting, and communication with stakeholders.
  • He/she is the director of global on/off-shore support teams for more than ten systems.
  • He/she is a full participant in the hybrid work model that provides both flexibility and collaboration.
  • He/she is the vital link between the senior technology management and the business units.

Responsibilities

  • Co-manage 3 to 4 app support teams through matrix alignment to product technical leads.
  • Be the primary contact point for production problems and train personnel in the area of incident management.
  • Establish a common reporting format for SLAs, changes, incidents, and team performance.
  • Manage the offshore teams, and the related renewals, costs, and resource efficiency.
  • Supervise the support team structure, support models, and on/off-shore ratios.
  • Keep an eye on Incident management quality, escalation processes, and post-mortems should be improved and strengthened.
  • Product-level change management should be improved and weekly change lists consolidated.

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience in managing app support teams within the capital markets sector, including offshore ones.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the capital markets app support industry.
  • Excellent command over SQL, scripting (batch/shell/Python), XML.
  • Familiar with ITIL/COBIT and standard support tools (ServiceNow, DR tools).
  • Knowledge and practical experience of ServiceNow, BI tools, and Excel for reporting.
  • Good analytical and communication skills; relevant degree/diploma.
  • Very good at using Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge or Experience in FX, commodities, prime services, repo products.
  • SaaS/managed-service support experience, vendor SLA/change management.
