Job Description
- Candidates will have to start the day in the depot, sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries.
- Candidates will have to spend most of their day outside, delivering mail and packages by foot or by vehicle to customers on the route.
- The candidate will have to return to the depot to unload the day’s incoming mail and packages for later delivery.
- Candidates will also have to load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle.
Job requirement
- Candidates must attain a valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s license with a safe driving record for at least 3 years
- Candidates must attain the physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg regularly throughout the day.
- They must attain the ability to work in all types of weather.
- Candidates must attain the ability to read, write and speak English and/or French.
Work setting
- Candidates will have the ensure availability to be on-call when required.
