Job Description

The candidate will be in charge of calving.
The candidate will be in charge of grooming farm animals.
The candidate will be in charge of handling animals.
The candidate will be responsible for milking goats.
The candidate will be in charge of monitoring animal health.
The candidate will be in charge of harvesting crops.
The candidate will be expected to feed and care for animals.
The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
The candidate must milk cows.
The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
The candidate must detect disease and health issues in crops, livestock, and poultry.
The candidate will be expected to write basic progress reports on a daily basis.
The candidate will be expected to carry out general farm duties.
The candidate will be expected to clean and maintain equipment.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
The candidate should have good judgemental skills.
The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

Farm operations include beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, corn farming, hay farming, and livestock combination farming.
The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
The candidate must be able to work in dusty conditions.

Experience and specialization

Type of crops

The crops are sweet corn and seed corn.

Equipment and machinery experience

The candidate must have prior experience with haying equipment, a lift truck, a loader, a sprayer or duster, a tractor, and a vegetable harvester.

Automated systems experience

The candidate must have prior experience with an automated irrigation system, automated bulk grain or feed handling, an automated milking system, automated environmental control equipment, and a storage and silage system.
