Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for supporting court operations through pre-court, in-court, and post-court duties, maintaining accurate court records and exhibits, and providing front counter services.
- The candidate will be responsible for ensuring court information is accurate and easily accessible.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must have secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED).
- The candidate must have a minimum of two years’ administrative support or customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- The candidate must have a minimum of one-year previous work experience in keyboarding, data entry, word processing, and standard computer applications such as Windows, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- The candidate will be required to demonstrate a keyboard speed of 40 words per minute.
- The candidate must have a valid B.C. driver’s licence.
- The candidate must have experience in court programs and applications such as JUSTIN, CEIS, ARC, CTAS, and CCD.
- The candidate must have experience as a Court Clerk and/or Registry Clerk.
- The candidate must have one year of previous work experience in a legal environment.
- The candidate must be available for varied shifts and overtime as required on short notice.
- The candidate will be expected to travel to different locations, including circuit courts, under varying weather conditions and have reliable transportation or be willing to travel with others.
- The candidate must be located in British Columbia at the time of employment.
