Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for managing the operations and ongoing evolution of the SAP for Utilities (SAP CCS) solution and related systems within the Enterprise Solutions team of the Technology Group.
  • The candidate will be responsible for providing expert-level advice to BC Hydro on SAP CCS features, capabilities, and closely integrated system components.
  • The candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex issues and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop effective solutions.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining the operational integrity, reliability, and performance of the SAP CCS solution.
  • The candidate will be responsible for conducting operational and project dependency reviews with Project Managers and Business Owners across BC Hydro to identify delivery dependencies.
  • The candidate will be responsible for managing major dependencies and risks across operations and projects while ensuring they are understood, coordinated, and addressed.
  • The candidate will be responsible for representing the Enterprise Solutions team across BC Hydro by conducting operational and project reviews and participating in steering committees.
  • The candidate will be responsible for overseeing portfolio health reviews, initiating corrective actions, and providing operational and project management leadership and coaching.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supporting operations, project development, and project execution activities across BC Hydro.
  • The candidate will be responsible for developing SAP CCS strategy, setting direction, and identifying process improvements based on business needs and BC Hydro and industry best practices.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and adoption of BC Hydro standards, processes, methodologies, and tools to support effective operations, project management, and portfolio management.
  • The candidate will be responsible for establishing governance procedures and supporting the successful roll-out of projects.
  • The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with business teams to lead initiatives aligned with business objectives and strategic roadmaps.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in a dynamic business environment, including leadership roles in project management.
  • The candidate must have a proven track record of successfully delivering large, complex SAP-related initiatives and SAP support processes, including specialization in SAP IS-Utilities CCS.
  • The candidate must demonstrate strong SAP IS-U CCS design and configuration skills.
  • The candidate must possess strong communication and facilitation skills to proactively engage multiple internal and external stakeholder groups.
  • The candidate must demonstrate flexibility, a self-starting approach, strong results orientation, and the ability to make decisions quickly.
  • The candidate must demonstrate strong team player skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with varying levels of complexity.
  • The candidate must have a strong understanding of both technology and business processes, with the ability to integrate technical and functional perspectives.
  • The candidate must have the ability to lead teams and provide direction to achieve successful SAP operations and project delivery.
  • The candidate must have experience leading strategic discussions and developing product roadmaps.
  • The candidate with experience in SAP CX, C4C, or Service Cloud will be considered an asset.
  • The candidate with experience working in an agile collaboration framework and performing product owner responsibilities will be considered an asset.
