Job Description

  • The candidate will be in charge of wrapping and portioning foods.
  • The candidate must prepare, heat, and finish simple food items.
  • The candidate will be expected to stock refrigerators and salad bars.
  • The candidate will be required to clean, peel, slice, and trim foods using manual and electrical appliances.
  • The candidate will be in charge of receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cabinets, and other storage areas.
  • The candidate will be required to wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
  • The candidate will be expected to clean the kitchen and work areas.
  • The candidate must prepare and cook complete meals as well as individual dishes and foods.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate should have a certificate or diploma in other trades or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have a Food Safety Certificate, Safe Food Handling Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, and Cook Trade Certification.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate should have excellent oral communication.
  • The candidate should be dependable.

  • The candidate will be required to work in a restaurant, hotel, motel, or resort.
