Job Description

• The candidate must load, unload, and transport construction materials.
• The candidate must be capable of erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
• The candidate will be responsible for mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
• The candidate must level earth to fine grade specifications.
• The candidate must clean and pile salvaged materials.
• The candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance work.
• The candidate must remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
• The candidate will be responsible for directing traffic near construction sites.
• The candidate must pay for and receive payments for goods.
• The candidate must load and unload machines.
• The candidate must load and unload goods.
• The candidate must assist skilled tradespersons.
• The candidate must use maps and other trip planning aids.
• The candidate must demonstrate professionalism in customer service.
• The candidate must oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• The candidate should have a minimum qualification of a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must have an Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Certification, Boom Truck Crane Operator Trade Certification and a Driver’s License (Class 3 or D).
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be dependable.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be flexible.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.
• The candidate must be hardworking.

Experience and specialization

• The candidate must have experience operating power tools

Type of cranes

• The candidate must have experience operating hydraulic or telescoping boom cranes.

Equipment and machinery experience

• The candidate must have experience operating bobcats, reciprocating saws, circular saws, concrete saws, air compressors, nail guns, drills, trampers (jumping jacks), chain saws, forklifts, sledgehammers, hand tools, and skidsteers.
