Job Description

The candidate must load, unload, and transport construction materials.
The candidate must be capable of erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
The candidate will be responsible for mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt.
The candidate will be required to assist in the framing of houses, the erection of walls, and the construction of roofs.
The candidate must assist in the demolition of buildings.
The candidate must clean and stack salvaged materials.
The candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance work.
The candidate must clean up chemical spills and other contaminants.
The candidate must remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.

Job Requirements

The candidate should be fluent in English language.
There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
The candidate must have a Driver’s License (Class 3 or D), a First Aid Certificate, and a CPR Certificate.
The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
The candidate should be accurate.

Experience and specialization

Equipment and machinery experience

The candidate must have experience operating bobcats, reciprocating saws, circular saws, concrete saws, grinding machines, jackhammers, air compressors, nail guns, drills, small front end loaders, compactors, sledgehammers, and hand tools.

Area of work experience

The candidate must have prior experience with snow removal.

Construction specialization

The candidate must be skilled in the construction of residential and poured concrete structures.

Security and safety

The candidate should be subjected to a thorough criminal background check as well as a driving record check (abstract).

The candidate must have a valid driver’s licence.
The candidate’s travel expenses will be covered by the employer.
