Job Description

  • The candidate must clean and maintain the workspace.
  • The candidate must replace front-end components, body components, doors and frames, and underbody components.
  • The candidate must file, grind, and sand body surfaces for repair.
  • The candidate must mask and tape the auto body surfaces in preparation for painting.
  • The candidate must hammer out dents, buckles, and defects using blocks and hammers.
  • The candidate must remove damaged fenders, panels, and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place.
  • The candidate must apply primers and repaint surfaces.
  • The candidate must repair or replace interior components.
  • The candidate must repair or replace damaged windows, windshields, and sunroofs.
  • The candidate must operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
  • The candidate must straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate should be client-focused.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate must be flexible.
  • The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
  • The candidate should have good judgmental skills.

  • The candidate must work in a dusty environment.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.

Experience and specialization

Area of work experience

  • The candidate must have experience in the area of body components, doors and frames, frame straightening, front-end components, interior components, metal cutting, paint spraying, underbody components, unibody machine operation, and welding.

  • The candidate must undergo a thorough criminal background check.

  • The candidate must have their own transportation.
  • Public transportation is available for commuting to the work location.
