Collision Estimator

Collision Estimator is a key vehicle service role that prepares repair estimates and repair plans for Tesla vehicles damaged in collisions. The position supports Tesla’s Collision Repair Program and helps deliver high quality repairs using the latest electric vehicle technology.

In this role, you’ll end up assessing vehicle damage, preparing technical estimates, dealing with insurance companies and keeping customers updated through the whole repair process. You’ll also help steer the repair activities so everything can move along efficiently and correctly while staying on top of the details.

Job Description

  • Collision Estimator prepares technical repair estimates and repair plans for Tesla collision damaged vehicles.
  • This is a full time position based in Longueuil, Quebec.
  • The role supports Tesla’s Collision Repair Program.
  • The position involves working with customers, insurance companies and the repair team.
  • You will contribute to high quality vehicle repairs using Tesla approved procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Create repair estimates for collision damaged Tesla vehicles.
  • Build repair plans following Tesla repair procedures.
  • Guide disassembly technicians to expose all vehicle damage early in the repair process.
  • Communicate with insurance companies regarding claims and billing.
  • Guide collision technicians when repair or replacement decisions are required.
  • Update customers on vehicle repair progress.
  • Complete billing and support vehicle delivery.

Requirements

  • Must support projects across all Canadian provinces and communicate primarily in English with staff and clients outside Quebec.
  • Work background of 5 or more years in automotive collision damage estimating is required.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance procedures and requirements.
  • Skilled in using computers and Audatex or Mitchell Estimating software.
  • Solid background in the automotive field and willingness to receive cross training for future management roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written interaction skills and strong customer service skills.
  • Must hold a Canadian Class 5 or G or G2 driver’s licence.
