Job Description
- Candidates applying for this post are required to support the update of the City’s resilience strategy for the community and corporation, including the completion of a social vulnerability assessment for the community.
- They’re accountable at this post to work with the institutional, commercial, and industrial (ICI) sectors to ensure they are incorporating resilience strategies in their operations applied for this post.
- They’re also accountable to serve as a key liaison with interested internal and external groups, municipal partners, and other levels of government working at this post.
- Candidates accountable at this post to develop funding strategies to support the implementation of the resilience work, including leveraging external capital and applying for grants working at this post.
- They’re accountable for leading the implementation of the City’s Urban Agriculture Strategy working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have post-secondary education in climate change, urban planning, engineering, environmental studies, science, or a related field or the equivalent of work-related experience to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in the environment and climate change sector to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must attains the ability to negotiate and build consensus to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must attain the openness and willingness to learn new skills and a personal commitment to continuous development to be eligible for this post.

- Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to embrace diverse perspectives and build and foster relationships to be eligible for this post.
