Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for responding to public inquiries related to income and disability services and providing administrative support to the work unit.
- The candidate will work in the Community Services Branch delivering in-person services or in the Virtual Services Branch providing services across the province by phone and virtual means.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must have completed secondary school graduation or possess an equivalent qualification.
- The candidate should have experience delivering strong client service in high volume settings across in-person, virtual, or phone channels.
- The candidate is required to demonstrate proficiency in computer applications such as MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- The candidate should have experience working with clients dealing with poverty, substance use, or mental health concerns.
- The candidate must have experience working in a social services work environment.
- The candidate should have experience handling both financial and administrative support tasks.
- The candidate is required to have experience and/or training in handling conflict situations.
- The candidate must be able to remain resilient in difficult circumstances and show empathy when dealing with citizens.
- The candidate must be willing and able to use de-escalation techniques to manage certain situations.
- The candidate must be located in British Columbia at the time of employment.
