The Summerside Shipyard in Summerside, PE is seeking a self-motivated Cleaner. This position requires the successful applicant to begin duties at the earliest opportunity. Position status: Seasonal employment – Part time leading to full time. Work schedule: Early morning, Weekend, Flexible hours, To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors.
• The candidate must dust furniture.
• The candidate must clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
• The candidate must pick up debris and empty trash containers.
• The candidate must perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
• The candidate must wash windows, walls, and ceilings.
• The candidate must clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.

Job Requirements

• The candidate must be fluent in English.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The candidate must have the ability to work independently.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.

Work Site Environment

• The work environment is smoke-free.

Work Setting

• The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
