Job Description

  • The candidate will support the development and execution of category strategies through a collaborative and inclusive approach aligned with business and enterprise priorities.
  • The candidate must contribute market intelligence and value analytics to support sourcing strategies and category planning.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supporting cost optimization initiatives across sourcing categories and sub-categories.
  • The candidate must increase sourcing efficiency by developing clear roadmaps that prioritize sourcing categories and events.
  • The candidate must build strong partnerships with business leaders to support sourcing initiatives and procurement objectives.
  • The candidate must support strategic sourcing events and supplier negotiations, with opportunities to lead activities as experience grows.
  • The candidate must analyze spend data and other sources to identify value opportunities and generate actionable insights.
  • The candidate must facilitate the contract management process and partner with Legal to ensure timely and accurate agreement execution.
  • The candidate must manage and maintain tools and processes used to plan, track, and execute strategic sourcing activities.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Candidates with an MBA, SCMP, or an equivalent professional certification will be preferred.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of procurement experience.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Technology category.
  • The candidate must possess excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office, with knowledge of P2P systems such as Coupa or Oracle considered an asset.
  • The candidate must effectively build partnerships by understanding stakeholder needs and expectations, while taking ownership of complex issues through to resolution and supporting team members.
  • The candidate must develop and execute strategies across a range of categories.
  • The candidate must demonstrate strong knowledge of market dynamics, commercial structures, cost drivers, and industry trends.
  • The candidate must independently develop creative contracting and sourcing options using established category frameworks.
  • The candidate must validate assumptions and ensure sourcing strategies are sound and actionable.
  • The candidate must understand when and how to negotiate effectively and have experience leading a range of negotiations that support organizational goals.
  • The candidate must lead complex projects and manage multiple deliverables concurrently.
  • The candidate must use tools and techniques to track progress, manage risks, and proactively communicate changes.
  • The candidate must acknowledge the presence of choice in every moment and take personal responsibility for their actions and decisions.
  • The candidate must possess an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously seek innovative ways to achieve strong results.
  • The candidate must communicate with honesty and kindness while encouraging others to do the same.
