Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are appointed to prioritize work to meet the needs and expectations of store customers and minimize disruption when working on the shop floor.
- They’re also appointed to ensure high quality, simplicity and cost-consciousness in the execution of daily operations by using best practices and following standard procedures.
- Candidates are also appointed to implement the agreed store action plan with a sense of urgency and an eye for detail to help create a strong visual impression in the store.
- They’re also required to be conscious of the importance of safety while they are working on the shop floor and take prompt action when safety is compromised.
- Candidates are also appointed to provide high-quality carpentry and paintwork throughout the store in a simple, safe and cost- and time-efficient way.
- They’re required to reduce the environmental footprint and maximize opportunities to recycle and reuse materials.
- Candidates are also appointed to contribute to the positioning of the IKEA store as a high-quality and affordable home furnishing specialist working in this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must attain strong visual competence with a keen eye for aesthetics and a passion for home furnishing, retailing, design and how people live at home.
- They must attain a minimum of 1 year of carpentry experience gained in a commercial business, ideally in the construction and building industry or from exhibition installations.
- Candidates must constantly improve their capabilities, set priorities and organize their work to make the most efficient use of the time available.
- They must attain the ability to communicate the IKEA home furnishing range with strong visual impressions that exceed expectations.
- Candidates must desire to seek out opportunities to make improvements in the way we work by combining strong commercial, aesthetic and practical skills.
