Job description
- The candidate will be required to prepare layouts in conformance to building codes.
- The candidate will be required to use measuring tools.
- The candidate will be required to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches.
- The candidate will be required to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- The candidate will be required to measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
- The candidate will be required to supervise other workers.
- The candidate will be required to schedule and co-ordinate work on sites.
- The candidate will be required to instruct apprentices.
- The candidate will be required to own tools, safety equipment/gear, steel-toed safety boots, hard hat.
- The candidate will be required to supervise 1 to 2 people.
- The work setting is commercial.
- The major work area will be Renovation and Construction.
- The work site environment is at a height and noisy.
- The work location is in various places.
Requirements
- The candidate does not require any degree, certificate or diploma
- The candidate should have an experience of at least 5 years or more.
- The candidate should have credentials of 4th Period Apprentice, 1st Period Apprentice, 2nd Period Apprentice, 3rd Period Apprentice, Carpenter Trade Certification, Personal protective equipment (PPE) training.
- The candidate should have their own transportation.
- The candidate should have excellent oral communication skills.
- The candidate should have interpersonal awareness.
- The work will involve a combination of sitting, standing and walking which the candidate should be comfortable with.
- The candidate should be able to manage tight deadlines.
- The candidate should be able to work under pressure.
- The candidate should be able to handle repetitive tasks.

- The work will be physically demanding and hence the candidate should be comfortable with it.
