Job Description
- The candidate must prepare layouts in accordance with building codes, using measuring tools.
- The candidate must be able to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- The candidate must assist tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed.
- The candidate must install hardware such as knobs and hinges.
- The candidate must install door, window, and other hardware.
- The candidate must estimate materials, tools, and equipment required for projects.
- The candidate must co-ordinate the implementation of repairs, maintenance, and renovation.
- The candidate must maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- The candidate must read blueprints and drawings.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
- A candidate with experience is an asset.
