Job Description

  • The candidate must prepare layouts by building codes, using measuring tools.
  • The candidate must be able to measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • The candidate must build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • The candidate must fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising other workers.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the French language.
  • The candidate must have a College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 1 to 2 people.
  • The candidate must have a Carpenter Trade Certification.
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate should have good judgmental skills.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
  • The candidate should give importance to values and ethics.
  • The candidate must be punctual.

Level of expertise

  • The candidate must be an expert in maintenance and repair.

  • The candidate must have experience using hand tools.
