Job Description

  • Business Advisor handling small-business customer portfolios.
  • Establish robust local presence by interacting with community and COI.
  • Render advanced financial consultation and customized enterprise solutions.
  • Cooperate with other advisors to back up client’s requirements.
  • Create long-term growth plans for business clients.
  • Act as Scotiabank’s representative in the Edmonton business atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a portfolio consisting of very senior or difficult small-business clients in order to achieve the goals of retention and service.
  • Get to know the local business community and have a presence in it by making contacts with Influencers in the area.
  • Continuously contact both new and existing clients to give them advice which will lead to the growth of their businesses.
  • Work together with other advisors in keeping the company’s customer-focused philosophy strong.

Requirements

  • Very strong knowledge of the entire range of small-business products, financial statements, risk policies, and legal documentation.
  • Concrete business development techniques and very good understanding of small-businesses structures and their life cycles.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Education in business or similar experience as a small-business owner.
  • Possesses a valid driver’s license and accessibility to a reliable vehicle.
