Job Description
- The candidate must operate buses, school buses, or streetcars to transport passengers.
- The candidate must report delays, mechanical problems, and accidents.
- The candidate will be responsible for directing passengers during emergency evacuation procedures.
- The candidate must ensure that para-transit passengers board the vehicle safely.
- The candidate must deal with the public.
- The candidate must complete logbooks and reports.
- The candidate must deal with difficult passengers and resolve conflicts calmly and professionally.
- The candidate must communicate with passengers, dispatchers, and other drivers using two-way radio systems.
- The candidate must ensure children’s safety as they board or leave the bus and cross the street while the candidate stops the bus.
- The candidate must maintain control of student activities during travel to prevent distractions or behaviours that could compromise safety.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all vehicle aspects.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the French language.
- The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must be flexible.
- The candidate should have good judgmental skills.

The candidate must have experience operating buses, including as a school bus driver, intercity bus driver, and para-transit driver.
