Job description

  • Candidates are responsible for plan reading, steel bridge repairs, concrete forming, pile and driving.
  • They are responsible for roofing, drywalling, surveying, concrete work, cabinet construction, material estimates, interior/exterior finishing.

Job requirement

  • Candidates possess a Journeyman Carpenter or have equivalent experience (six years’ experience in benchwork) and be willing to pass the CP Rail qualifying test
  • They must hold a valid driver’s license
  • They must possess own set of hand tools
  • They are certified to operate explosion activated tools
  • They must obtain and hold a CROR rules card, minimum level “D”

Work setting

  • Candidates should be comfortable working on structures at heights with proper fall protection equipment.
  • They must be proficient with the safe use of common hand and power tools.
  • They must have the ability to effectively complete all assigned duties unsupervised.
