Job Description

  • The candidate will be required to test and adjust units in accordance with specifications.
  • The candidate will be required to complete reports that document problems and work done.
  • The candidate will be expected to inspect and test mechanical units for faults and malfunctions.
  • The candidate will be required to diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with the supervisor in order to determine whether the unit should be repaired or replaced.
  • The candidate will be required to repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • The candidate must estimate the costs of parts and labour.
  • The candidate will be expected to provide excellent customer service.
  • The candidate will be expected to keep equipment and tools in good working order.
  • The candidate will be expected to do basic automotive maintenance, such as oil changes and tyre rotations.
  • The candidate will be expected to test parts and systems to ensure that they function properly.
  • The candidate will be in charge of ensuring vehicle serviceability through test drives, adjusting controls, and updating systems.
  • The candidate will be in charge of performing scheduled maintenance work.
