Job Description

  • The candidate must identify automotive parts and supplies and issue automotive supplies, parts, and shop tools.
  • The candidate will be responsible for accepting deliveries of materials, recording them accurately, and maintaining the stockroom.
  • The candidate will be responsible for arranging material shipments and preparing waybills, delivery slips, and related documentation.
  • The candidate may be required to pick up or deliver parts and operate a forklift as part of job duties.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate will be required to work in accordance with the IBEW Collective Agreement.
  • The candidate must have completed a recognized Automotive Partsperson course.
  • The candidate must have completed an Automotive Parts Technician Trades Qualification (TQ).
  • The candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills when dealing with employees, internal teams, and external customers.
  • The candidate may hold a valid forklift operator certificate, which would be considered an asset.

Security and safety

  • The candidate will be required to successfully complete pre-employment alcohol and drug testing as a condition of employment for this safety-sensitive position.

Work conditions

  • The candidate may be required to travel to support coverage needs and deliver training across the department.
  • The candidate may be required to work rotating shifts as per Article 62.3(a) of the IBEW Collective Agreement.
  • The candidate will be required to work shifts scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
