Job Description

• The candidate must organise and set up the bar.
• The candidate will be responsible for cleaning the bar area and washing glassware.
• The candidate will have to serve food or snacks.
• The candidate will be expected to provide wine selection advice.
• The candidate will be expected to inform customers about the contents of cocktails or other beverages.
• The candidate must collect cash, credit/debit cards, or other forms of payment for beverages.
• The candidate will be expected to keep track of and balance beverage sales.
• The candidate will be expected to stock beverage and food items.
• The candidate will be responsible for ordering bar stock, maintaining inventory, and controlling bar stock.
• The candidate will be responsible for enforcing provincial/territorial liquor laws and regulations.
• The candidate will be required to prepare mixed drinks, wine, draught or bottled beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• The candidate must take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from customers.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in French language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
• The candidate should have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Work setting

• Accommodation will be provided for the candidate.
• The candidate will be required to work in a banquet hall, restaurant, hotel, motel, or resort.
• The candidate must be willing to work in a rural area.
