Job Description 

  • Candidates working in this post are appointed to combine the hard work and pragmatism of a consulting practice with the satisfaction of facilitating meaningful participation by those residents and groups most impacted by policy issues.
  • They’re also required to ensure that relationships are driven with strong team leadership and project management skills at this post.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates for this post must have a master’s degree in a relevant discipline and 8 years of relevant experience in areas such as stakeholder engagement, public participation, and Indigenous engagement to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have prior education, training, professional certifications and experience to be preferred for this post.
  • Candidates for this post must attain the ability to recruit, train, and manage a team.
  • Applicants for this post must have excellent project management, budget planning, and financial management skills to be preferred for this post.
  • They must have prior excellent knowledge of dialogue, public engagement, facilitation, and public policy to be preferred for this post.
  • Candidates for this post must have prior knowledge of designing and developing innovative public engagement initiatives and systems.

Work setting 

  • Applicants for this post must attain dedicated knowledge of good practices for intercultural engagement, including cultural literacy in the norms of multiple communities in Metro Vancouver and Canada to be eligible for this post.
