Job Description 

  • Candidates working in this post are responsible for planning and implementing the academic delivery of School of Hospitality and Tourism courses and programs.
  • Applicants are also required at this post to provide leadership in the development and renewal of curriculum, effective hiring and development of faculty, and management of workload assignment.
  • They’re also appointed to supervise faculty and staff as they manage the delivery of courses and programs in the portfolio.
  • Candidates for this post also require a high degree of collaboration with the Dean, Associate Deans, faculty, and college stakeholders to ensure that courses and programs are delivered effectively and efficiently.

Job requirement 

  • Applicants must have a master’s degree in a relevant field of study to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have a minimum of 9 years combined experience which includes academic leadership, management, and industry experience.
  • They must have a minimum of 5 years of successful teaching at a post-secondary/adult level to be preferred for this post.
  • Applicants must acquire prior experience with the supervision of staff within a unionized environment.
  • They must have prior experience working with diverse student populations along with proven ability in moving ideas from conceptual to operational to be eligible for this post.
  • They must have dedicated experience in developing student-centred programs and supports to get preferred for this post.
  • Applicants must acquire advanced leadership, team building, collaboration, and networking skills to be eligible for this post.

Work setting
