Job Description
Leads operations during a shift in a multi-shift GLS through subordinate full-time and auxiliary staff:
- The candidate will be responsible for assigning tasks, maintaining performance standards, and formally appraising subordinate employees.
- The candidate will be responsible for participating in the investigation of employee relations issues.
- The candidate will be responsible for orienting new staff and assisting in training.
- The candidate will be responsible for participating in the organization of staff meetings, including agenda planning, scheduling, and ensuring minutes are recorded.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining attendance management records in coordination with the Manager.
- The candidate will be responsible for keeping the Manager informed of store-related issues.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining employee shift schedules.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining customer relations in accordance with LDB vision.
Assists in the general administration of the store:
- The candidate will be responsible for balancing cash to float totals and completing revenue reconciliation.
- The candidate will be responsible for monitoring litter fund balances and ordering coin to meet operational needs.
- The candidate will be responsible for certifying receipt of liquor product.
- The candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining hospitality customer records.
Ensures product is merchandised in the most effective manner:
- The candidate will be responsible for displaying products to maximize sales and profit, including eye-catching displays, full shelves, dusted bottles, and proper price tags.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels and product mix.
- The candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining corporate planograms.
Performs other related duties:
- The candidate will be responsible for ensuring store safety, including responding to incidents between staff and customers and refusing service to intoxicated customers.
- The candidate will be responsible for monitoring and addressing shoplifting incidents according to Loss Prevention/Store Operations policies and directives.
- The candidate will be responsible for responding to security intrusion alarms during non-business hours.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must possess a secondary (high) school diploma or equivalent certificate.
- The candidate must have a minimum of one (1) year of recent experience, including six (6) months in a supervisory role, in a customer-facing, service-oriented environment.
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience working as a supervisor in a retail environment.
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience working in an environment generating annual sales in excess of $1 million.
- The candidate with experience in driving and achieving sales performance will be considered an asset.
- Preference may be given to candidates with experience in visual presentation and working with key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Preference may be given to candidates who hold a degree, diploma, or certificate in business or retail management, or who have completed a supervisory or leadership course.
- The candidate must successfully complete Serving It Rightโข certification prior to confirmation of appointment.

Work conditions
- The candidate will be required to lift liquor cases up to 50 lbs to different heights, stand for long periods at a cash register, and carry out warehouse duties including frequent bending and standing.
