Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for the fit and execution of mid to high complexity styles from concept through to production readiness.
- The candidate must organize daily workflow that adheres to GTM deliverables and development timelines.
- The candidate must measure and analyze garments to determine compliance of measurements, workmanship, construction direction, and maintain fit intent.
- The candidate must lead fittings and articulate fit or prototype changes and rationale to cross-functional partners utilizing visual or verbal communication and tools.
- The candidate must efficiently communicate fit comments inclusive of updated style measurements and construction details inline with fit comment SOP to vendors and in-house teams.
- The candidate must create and initiate all subsequent systematic sample requests as required, inclusive of measurement templates.
- The candidate must understand points of measurements library and associated grade rules and recognize when to apply and amend as required.
- The candidate must partner with Product Development to understand risk assessment of styles and create execution plans accordingly.
- The candidate must utilize lab test and wear test reports and analysis to adjust execution and mitigate risk of failure.
- The candidate must maintain style data integrity and accuracy in FlexPLM and other relevant systems.
- The candidate must enter and update technical trims in the BoM as required, ensuring accuracy before approval and communicating changes with Product Development partners.
- The candidate must advance technical knowledge through mentorship and training from Technical Development partners, Pattern Engineers, vendors, and the in-house sample room.
- The candidate must support the creation and maintenance of fit and construction standards and protocols.
- The candidate must drive fit excellence education with cross-functional peers in category.
- The candidate must mentor Assistants and Juniors as guided by Senior TD and Manager.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or possess equivalent professional experience.
- The candidate should have focused training in Technical Design, Pattern Making, Product Development, or relevant experience, which is preferred.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 5 to 8 years of industry experience, preferably within Technical Design and/or Technical Development departments.
- The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as Adobe Design Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop.
- The candidate must demonstrate proficiency with FlexPLM or similar PLM software.
- The candidate must be driven by the technical aspect of the product creation process.
- The candidate must demonstrate attention to detail, initiative, organization, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The candidate must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively.
- The candidate must possess working knowledge of fabric, construction, draping, graphic, and dye techniques.
- The candidate must be proficient at technical communication with vendors via pattern diagrams and fit photos.
- The candidate must possess substantial knowledge of grading.
- The candidate must demonstrate strong applied comprehension of the end-to-end product life cycle.
- The candidate must be self-motivated, demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, and maintain a collaborative mindset.
- The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
