Job Requirements

• Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree in 4 years and 120 credits from a recognized Canadian Institution. No recent job-specific experience = Growth Series Level One is required to be eligible for this post. 
• Candidates must have 6-12 months of recent job-specific experience and dedicated growth series level two. 
• They must have 12-18 months of recent job-specific experience and growth series level three.
• They must attain recent experience refers to experience obtained in the preceding five years. 
• They must be gained after completing the education required. 
• Candidates must have a degree from outside of Canada or a degree taken in a language other than English, please refer to the additional requirements in the job profile.
• They must have successful completion of the Adult Probation Officer pre-requisite to be eligible for this post. 
• They must have a valid Class 5 B.C. driver’s license and a valid Class 7 to be eligible for this post. 
• Candidates must attain dedicated computer and keyboard skills with a minimum of 30 wpm. 
• Candidates must have case management experience working with clients with Mental Health or Substance Abuse issues.
• They must attain dedicated experience working with clients involved with the Criminal Justice System to be eligible for this post.
• Candidates must have to complete overnight travel to remote locations and working outside typical work hours may be required and a valid BC driver’s license is required to be eligible for this post.
