Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for preparing daily reconciliations of product sales between point-of-sale systems and the sales sub-ledger.
- The candidate will be responsible for preparing SOX control related reports to support month-end close.
- The candidate will be responsible for month-end journal entry preparation and account analysis.
- The candidate will be responsible for correcting errors in the sub-ledger and retail sales audit system.
- The candidate will be responsible for investigating issues and facilitating communication between Finance, Technology, Stores teams, and other cross-functional partners to resolve reporting issues.
- The candidate will be responsible for responding to sales accuracy queries made by store teams.
- The candidate will be responsible for continually seeking ways to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining a commitment to developing technical and soft skills to support career development.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be pursuing or planning to pursue a CPA designation, which will be considered an asset; an Accounting degree is required if CPA designation is not expected to be pursued.
- The candidate must have completed, or be near completion of, an undergraduate degree.
- The candidate should possess Accounting experience, which will be considered an asset.
- The candidate must be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and manage multiple ongoing tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- The candidate must enjoy working in a team environment.
- The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- The candidate must demonstrate curiosity about how systems interact and provide financial data output.
