Job Description

  • The candidate will be in charge of feeding inventory.
  • The candidate will be in charge of grading.
  • The candidate will be in charge of harvesting vegetables by hand.
  • The candidate will be in charge of harvesting seedlings.
  • The candidate will be in charge of mixing fertiliser.
  • The candidate will be expected to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
  • The candidate will be in charge of seed cutting.
  • The candidate will be in charge of soil fertility programmes.
  • The candidate will be in charge of vegetable culling.
  • The candidate will be in charge of the vertical farming system.
  • The candidate will be in charge of weeding.
  • The candidate will be responsible for fertilising and spraying crops.
  • The candidate will be in charge of harvesting crops.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate must detect disease and health issues in crops, livestock, and poultry.
  • The candidate will be expected to inspect the product for quality and prepare it for market.
  • The candidate will be required to write basic progress reports on a daily basis.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • Training will be provided to the selected candidate.

Work Site Environment

  • Farm operations include corn farming, fruit and vegetable combination farming, livestock combination farming, oilseed (except soybean) farming, organic farming, other grain farming and wheat farming.
  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The candidate must be able to work in wet/damp and dusty conditions.

Work Setting

  • The candidate must be willing to relocate to the specified location.

Experience and Specialization

Type of product

  • The product type is native plants.

Equipment and machinery experience

  • The candidate must have prior experience with a sprayer or duster.

Automated systems experience

  • The candidate must have prior experience with a feeding and watering system as well as a storage and silage system.

  • The candidate should be subjected to a thorough criminal background check.
