Job description:
- Will be required to operate manual equipments.
- Will be required to operate semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment.
- Will be required to operate manual welding equipments.
- Will be required to operate semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment.
- Will be required to operate breaks and shears.
- Will be required to operate metal shaping and straightening machines.
- Will be required to operate bending machines.
- Will be required to interpret welding process specifications.
- Will be required to fit straighten metal.
- Will be required to braze straighten metal.
- Will be required to torch straighten metal.
- Will be required to operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air)(AOC).
- Will be required to operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes.
- Will be required to operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to indentations and seams of metal.
- Will be required to operate hoisting equipments.
- Will be required to operate lifting equipment.
- Will be required to read and interpret welding and drawings specifications.
- Will be required to read and interpret manuals and processes.
- Will be required to examine welds.
- Will be required to ensure that welds meet standards and/or specifications.
- Will be required to handle weight up to 23kgs(50lbs).
- Will be required to have basic security clearance.
- Will be required to work in commercial work settings.
- Will be required to work in manufacturers and industrial work settings.
- Will be required to work with stainless steel.
- Will be required to work with aluminium alloys and steel.
- Will be required to iron and heavy metals.
Requirements:
- Should have equipment and machinery handling experience that of Gas welding machine and arc welding machine.
- Should have equipment and machinery handling experience that of spot welding machine and soldering machines.
- Should have equipment and machinery handling experience that of butt or seam resistance welding machine.
- Having experience is not compulsory.
- Should know english.
- Should have Welder Trade Certification.
- Should have first and second period apprentice.
- Should have third and fourth period apprentice.
- Should have other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience.
- Should have specialization on custom fabrication.
- Should have specialization on machinery or equipment repair.
- Should have knowledge of welding techniques like Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW).
- Should have knowledge of welding techniques like Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).
- Should have knowledge of welding techniques like Plasma arc welding (PAW).
- Should have own equipments like Steel-toed safety boots.
- Should have own equipments like Welding helmet.
- Should have a valid driver’s licence.
- Should be able to work in fast-paced environment.
- Should have eye-hand coordination.
- Should be manually dexterous.
- Should have effective interpersonal skills.
- Should pay attention to details.
- Should be a team player.
