Life Choice(R), located at Cochrane, AB T4C 2C3. The company is currently looking for applications for the role of Warehouse shipping clerk. We are in search of a self-disciplined individual with outstanding interpersonal skills. The selected applicant will be required to join and take on their responsibilities at the earliest. The open positions are for Permanent employment or part-time leading to a full-time job. The timings of shifts may be Day, Flexible Hours, To be determined and Morning.

Job Description

• The candidate will be responsible for determining the method of shipping.
• The candidate will be responsible for scheduling the distribution of goods.
• The candidate must prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents.
• The candidate must inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documentation.
• The candidate must maintain an internal record-keeping system.
• The candidate must record shortages and reject damaged goods.
• The candidate will be responsible for packaging goods for shipment.
• The candidate must unpack the received goods.
• The candidate will be responsible for attaching identifying information and shipping instructions to shipments.
• The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of goods.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be accurate.
• The candidate should be dependable.
• The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must be capable of acting on their initiative.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Work setting

• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
• The candidate should work in an industrial facility or any establishment engaged in manufacturing or processing, including, but not limited to, factories, foundries, mills, processing plants, refineries, mines and slaughterhouses.
• The candidate should work in a warehouse, which can be a noisy, busy place to work, with hundreds of warehouse operatives, pickers, and packers working alongside many forklift truck drivers who are moving pallets between shelves.

Experience and specialization

Computer and technology knowledge

• The candidate must be knowledgeable about Spreadsheets, MS Excel, MS Word and MS Windows.

• The candidate should have an eye for detail.
• The candidate should be required to perform repetitive tasks frequently.
• The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
• The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
