Job Description
- The candidate must maintain professionalism in customer service.
- The candidate must drive as part of a two-person team or convoy.
- The candidate must load and unload goods.
- The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- The candidate must inspect the vehicle’s condition, including the brakes, tires, lights, and other essential components.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all vehicle aspects.
- The candidate must perform preventive maintenance.
- The candidate will be responsible for receiving and relaying information to central dispatch.
- The candidate will be responsible for recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- The candidate will be responsible for tarping and ensuring cargo safety and security.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- A candidate with experience is an asset.
- The candidate must have an AZ class license,ย Air Brakes Endorsement Certification, and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Certification.
- The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The candidate should be organized and flexible.
- The candidate should be reliable.
- The candidate should be a good team player.

- The candidate must work in various locations to support employees stationed at different worksites.
Experience and specialization
Documentation knowledge
- The candidate must be knowledgeable about accident or incident reports, bill of lading, driver logbooks, inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, trans-border documentation, and trip reports.
Type of trucking and equipment
- The candidate must have experience in operating refrigerated trucks and tractor-trailers.
Communication systems experience
- The candidate must have experience using citizens band (CB) radios, operating GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, and using a trip recorder (on-board computer).

- The candidate must have a valid passport.
- The candidate must undergo a basic security clearance, a criminal record check, a driver’s license validity check, a driving record check (abstract), and a drug test.
