Job Description
- The candidate must maintain professionalism in customer service.
- The candidate must drive lighter, special-purpose trucks.
- The candidate must load and unload goods.
- The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
- The candidate must inspect the vehicle’s condition, including the brakes, tires, lights, and other essential components.
- The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all aspects of the vehicle.
- The candidate will be responsible for recording cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
- The candidate must handle and transport dangerous goods.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
- The candidate must have a Driver’s License (Class 1 or A), Driver’s License (Class 3 or D), First Aid Certificate, Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
- The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.

Type of trucking and equipment
- The candidate must have experience operating liquid bulk and straight trucks (4,600 kg/10,000 lbs+ with 3 or more axles).
Transportation/travel experience
- The candidate must have travel experience in the local area.
- The candidate must have short-haul travel experience.
