Job Description

  • The candidate must maintain professionalism in customer service.
  • The candidate must load and unload goods.
  • The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all vehicle aspects.
  • The candidate will be responsible for receiving and relaying information to central dispatch.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have a Driver’s License (Class 1 or A).
  • The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible.
  • The candidate should have good judgmental skills.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Experience and specialization

Documentation knowledge

  • The candidate must be knowledgeable about driver logbooks, inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip) and trip reports.

Type of trucking and equipment

  • The candidate must have experience in operating refrigerated trucks and tractor-trailers.

  • The candidate must be bondable.
  • The candidate must undergo a criminal record check and a driving record check (abstract).

  • The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads as part of routine work.
  • The candidate must perform physically demanding tasks as part of their daily work.
