Job Description
- Applicants who applied for this post are required to assist in conducting safety checks of ice conditions and surrounding areas.
- They’re also accountable for monitoring the use of allowed equipment and assisting during ice resurfacing to ensure the safety of rink users working at this post.
- Candidates are also appointed to help maintain a clean and safe facility, perform First Aid, and assess incidents and accidents working at this post.
- Applicants are also accountable for assisting with winter maintenance and park sanitation functions, including shovelling, salting and garbage removal.
- They’re also accountable for ensuring Incident/Accident forms are completed and submitted.
- They’re also appointed to maintain an ongoing inventory of First Aid equipment/supplies working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must hold a valid Emergency or Standard First Aid Certificate with CPR B or C certification to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must have strong skating skills and knowledge of safe on-ice practices to be considered as an asset for this post.
- They must have exposure to cold temperatures and inclement weather and must have a willingness to work at other outdoor rink locations to be eligible for this post.
