We are seeking a self-disciplined individual with exceptional interpersonal skills. The chosen applicant will be required to join and begin their duties as soon as possible. The open positions are for Permanent employment or part-time, leading to a full-time job. The candidate must be available to work morning, day, evening, night, and weekend shifts, as well as work flexible hours, be on call, and work on a shift basis.

Job Description

  • The candidate must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages.
  • The candidate must present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers’ cheques, or room billings.
  • The candidate must describe menu items, including daily specials, to customers in a clear, concise, and informative manner.
  • The candidate will be responsible for advising on menu selection and recommendations.
  • The candidate must clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
  • The candidate must greet customers, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages.
  • The candidate must be able to serve food and beverages.
  • The candidate will be responsible for taking orders and relaying them to the kitchen and bar staff.
  • The candidate must provide excellent customer service.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have a Smart Serve Certificate.
  • The candidate should be client-focused.
  • The candidate should have efficient interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work setting

  • The candidate should work in restaurants that are generally fast-paced and require the utmost efficiency.
  • The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
  • The candidate should work in a coffee shop that provides patrons with a place to congregate, talk, read, write, entertain one another, or pass the time, whether individually or in small groups.
  • The candidate must work in a bistro.
