Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for addressing customer complaints or concerns.
The candidate must present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers’ cheques, or room billings.
The candidate will be responsible for enforcing provincial/territorial liquor laws and regulations.
The candidate will be responsible for advising on menu selection and recommendations.
The candidate must balance cash and keep sales records.
The candidate must clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
The candidate must greet customers, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages.
The candidate will be responsible for ordering and maintaining an inventory of wines and wine glassware.
The candidate must be able to serve food and beverages.
The candidate will be responsible for taking orders and relaying them to the kitchen and bar staff.
The candidate must train staff.
The candidate must provide excellent customer service.

Job Requirements

The candidate must be bilingual.
There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
The candidate has no supervisory responsibilities.
The candidate must have Smart Serve Certification, Food and Beverage Server Training Certification, Responsible Beverage Service Certificate, Food Safety Certificate, Safe Food Handling Certificate, CPR Certificate, and First Aid Certificate.
The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
The candidate should be client-focused.
The candidate must be flexible.
The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
The candidate should be reliable.
The candidate should be a good team player.

The candidate must work in cold/refrigerated and hot environments.
