Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for addressing customer complaints or concerns.
- The candidate must present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers’ cheques, or room billings.
- The candidate will be responsible for enforcing provincial/territorial liquor laws and regulations.
- The candidate will be responsible for advising on menu selection and recommendations.
- The candidate must balance cash and keep sales records.
- The candidate must clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
- The candidate must greet customers, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages.
- The candidate will be responsible for ordering and maintaining an inventory of wines and wine glassware.
- The candidate must be able to serve food and beverages.
- The candidate will be responsible for taking orders and relaying them to the kitchen and bar staff.
- The candidate must train staff.
- The candidate must provide excellent customer service.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must be bilingual.
- There are no standard education requirements, such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- The employer will provide training to the selected candidate.
- The candidate has no supervisory responsibilities.
- The candidate must have Smart Serve Certification, Food and Beverage Server Training Certification, Responsible Beverage Service Certificate, Food Safety Certificate, Safe Food Handling Certificate, CPR Certificate, and First Aid Certificate.
- The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
- The candidate should be client-focused.
- The candidate must be flexible.
- The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.

- The candidate must work in cold/refrigerated and hot environments.
