Job Description
- The candidate will be responsible for the fit, execution, and approval of high complexity styles from concept development through production readiness.
- The candidate will be responsible for leading and mentoring team members during fittings while communicating fit and prototype changes to cross-functional partners.
- The candidate will be responsible for efficiently communicating and updating style measurements, construction details, and development context to vendors and sample rooms.
- The candidate will be responsible for supporting the team in prioritizing daily workflow activities aligned with GTM deliverables and development timelines.
- The selected candidate must collaborate with Product Development teams to identify and reduce risks related to high attention styles.
- The candidate will be responsible for utilizing lab test and wear test results to adjust construction methods and reduce product failure risks.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining style data integrity and accuracy within Flex PLM and other relevant systems.
- The candidate will be responsible for entering and updating technical trims in the BoM while ensuring accuracy prior to approval and communicating updates with Product Development partners.
- The candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining fit and construction standards and protocols across product categories.
- The candidate will be responsible for educating team members on advanced technical knowledge related to industry standards and brand construction and fit standards.
- The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with internal teams and external resources, including labs and vendor co-creation partners, to support innovation opportunities outside of GTM gates.
- The candidate will be responsible for ensuring construction and fit consistency across product categories in alignment with established brand guidelines.
- The candidate must lead fit excellence education initiatives by conducting presentations and training sessions with cross-functional teams.
- The candidate must evaluate garments to ensure measurements, workmanship, construction standards, and fit intent meet required specifications.
- The candidate will be responsible for presenting and supporting the team on proto changes, challenges, and solutions during GTM meetings.
- The candidate will be responsible for building strategies alongside the Manager to drive competencies within the scope of product creation.
- The candidate will be responsible for mentoring and training team members.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or possess equivalent professional experience.
- The candidate with training in Technical Design, Pattern Making, Product Development, or related experience will be preferred.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 8+ years of industry experience, preferably within Technical Design and/or Technical Development departments, with experience in RTW or Casual categories preferred.
- The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as Adobe Design Suite, including Illustrator and Photoshop.
- The candidate must demonstrate proficiency with FlexPLM or similar PLM software.
- The selected candidate should demonstrate familiarity with Gerber Pattern Making tools and 3D product development software.
- The candidate must have experience working directly with internal and overseas Pattern Engineers.
- The candidate must have experience mentoring and training others.
- The candidate will be responsible for leading fit sessions for all products.
- The candidate should have a strong interest in the technical side of the product creation process.
- The candidate must be self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and teamwork.
- The candidate must possess strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- The candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities effectively.
- The candidate will be required to demonstrate strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, draping, and graphic and dye techniques across diverse fabric types and product categories.
- The candidate must be skilled in technical communication with vendors using pattern diagrams and fit photos.
- The candidate must possess expert knowledge of grading.
- The candidate must possess strong applied knowledge of the end-to-end product life cycle.
- The candidate will be responsible for engaging and educating cross-functional teams and leadership during fittings and product presentations.
