Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for creating and fostering a respectful and inclusive team environment by welcoming and celebrating differences to ensure a supportive, productive, and fun experience for all team members.
  • The candidate will be responsible for engaging team members by helping them understand how their work supports the success of the store and of lululemon overall.
  • The candidate will be responsible for implementing the Store Manager’s People vision for the store and cascading it to team members.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supporting the Store Manager in hiring and building a strong and diverse team that includes team members with various experiences, backgrounds, and skillsets to drive key results and performance.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supporting the ongoing learning and development of team members consistently and equitably by providing direct feedback, coaching, mentoring, and continuous development check-ins.
  • The candidate will be responsible for leading performance management activities, including direct feedback and continuous check-ins, facilitating team acknowledgement and rewards, managing performance documentation, and addressing performance concerns.
  • The candidate will be responsible for addressing employee concerns or issues, including knowing when to partner with internal support to take appropriate action.
  • The candidate must lead an exceptional guest (customer) experience on the floor by assessing guest connection levels and technical product education, while supporting team members to close gaps through feedback and coaching.
  • The candidate must provide retail floor leadership to team members by making in-the-moment decisions to maintain efficiency and effectiveness of retail floor coverage and operations.
  • The candidate must resolve guest feedback and address emergent issues, including guest escalations and urgent requests, helping to “make it right” for guests.
  • The candidate must work with other managers to review business metrics and data, including P&L statements, to guide planning processes like QBRs, sales planning, and hiring strategy.
  • The candidate must maintain strategic product presentation and visual merchandising by ensuring product recovery, restock (e.g., pant wall, size store), destock, and minor visual merchandising changes are completed.
  • The candidate must open and close the store in accordance with established opening and closing procedures.
  • The candidate must understand and follow all people safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • The candidate must perform work in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and laws or regulations.
  • The candidate will be responsible for delegated aspects of the controllable budget and labor hours.
  • The candidate will hold a leadership role with direct responsibility for a subset of store employees as delegated by the Store Manager.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate must be legally authorized to work in the country where the store is located.
  • The candidate must have the ability to travel to the assigned store using reliable transportation methods.
  • The candidate will be required to work on a variable schedule that may include early mornings, mornings, afternoons, evenings, late nights, or overnights, as well as weekends and holidays.
  • The candidate must have 1 year of people management experience.
  • The candidate must have 1 year of leadership experience, including managing business operations and administration, as well as projects or processes.
  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is considered an asset for this role.
  • A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification will be considered an asset.
  • The candidate with at least 1 year of retail or sales-specific management experience will be considered an asset.
  • 1 year of experience in recruiting, hiring, or training employees is considered an asset.

  • The candidate must be comfortable using computers and technical devices, including participating in virtual meetings.
  • The candidate will spend most of the shift moving through the store to assist guests but may also sit for extended periods of time (more than 1 hour).
  • The candidate may occasionally be required to move boxes weighing up to 30 lbs (13.6 kg).
