Coastline (BC) Facility Services Ltd., based in Burnaby, BC V5B 3A6. The company is currently seeking applications for the position of Rope Access Technician (RAT). We are seeking a self-disciplined individual with exceptional interpersonal skills. The selected applicant will be required to join and assume their responsibilities as soon as possible. The open positions are for Permanent employment or full-time jobs. The timings of shifts may be Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, Flexible Hours, Early Morning and Morning.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• The candidate must hold a certificate or diploma in a related trade or possess equivalent experience in the field.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must hold Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) Certification and possess a valid First Aid Certificate.
• The candidate should be accurate.
• The candidate should be client-focused.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate must be well-organized.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

• The candidate must be able to work at heights.
• The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.

Work setting

• The candidate should be willing to work in a rural area, where most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
• The candidate must be able to work in multiple locations to support employees stationed at various worksites.

Experience and specialization

Equipment and machinery experience

• The candidate must have experience using power tools and hand tools.

• The candidate must undergo a thorough criminal background check.

• The candidate must be willing to travel.
• The employer will cover the candidate’s travel expenses.
