Job Description

  • The candidate must administer evaluative tests and procedures.
  • The candidate will be responsible for assessing patients’ physical abilities.
  • The candidate must examine patients.
  • The candidate must make decisions on tests and procedures.
  • The candidate must supervise technical and support staff.
  • The candidate must plan physiotherapy programs.
  • The candidate must select appropriate exercises, apparatus, and manipulations.
  • The candidate must maintain clinical and progress reports.
  • The candidate must confer with other health professionals.
  • The candidate must conduct research in physiotherapy.
  • The candidate must teach and/or supervise exercises for patients.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • The candidate must have a Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have completed the Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulatory Boards Examination and hold licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.

Work setting

  • The candidate must work in neurology, amputees, sports therapy, orthopedics, acute care therapy, medical clinics, chronic care therapy centers, pediatrics, geriatrics, manipulative therapy, with persons with an intellectual disability, home care and visiting care agencies, private practice, and rehabilitation centres and special health institutions.
  • The candidate should be willing to relocate and be ready to move to a new city/different city for a job.
