We are seeking a self-disciplined individual with exceptional interpersonal skills. The chosen applicant will be required to join and begin their duties as soon as possible. The employer provides this role under Casual / Non-Union status on an on-call basis.

Job Description
- The candidate will support dance class instruction across a variety of demographics, including Early Years, Children, Youth, and Adults.
- The candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and leading a variety of social, cultural, sport, and general interest activities as assigned by a supervisor, with a specific focus on dance.
- The candidate will be responsible for the safe and proper use of equipment and facilities, while taking independent action and initiative in leading and instructing assigned programs.
Job Requirements
- The candidate must be a team player with excellent communication and people skills.
- The candidate must be enthusiastic, personable, energetic, and outgoing, with a passion for engaging with members of the community.
- The candidate must have experience leading recreation programs in a municipal setting for children, early years, youth, and adults in dance.
- The candidate must be flexible and available to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, with shifts varying throughout the year and programs delivered at different City facilities.
- The candidate with certifications such as High Five, Early Childhood Education (ECE), or NCCP will be considered an asset.
- The candidate with a valid BC Driver’s Licence or equivalent will be preferred.
- The candidate with valid First Aid and CPR ‘C’ certification will be preferred.
- The candidate must hold Emergency, Standard, or Occupational First Aid certification with CPR C from recognized providers such as St John’s Ambulance, Canadian Red Cross, Lifesaving Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, or Canadian Ski Patrol.
