Job Description

  • The candidate must serve as the key point of contact for external customers.
  • The candidate will respond to public enquiries, including web-based enquiries, regarding programs, services, and facilities, explain user fees, charges, and departmental policies and procedures, and refer unusual or sensitive customer service issues and complaints to the Supervisor.
  • The candidate will operate a multi-line computer phone system and use a computerized registration system to receive and process payments for program registrations, memberships, facility and equipment rentals, and other fees and charges.
  • The candidate will provide refunds for cancelled programs in accordance with established policy, process NSF cheques, contact customers for payment, safeguard funds, balance payments and disbursements with receipts and the computerized general ledger, and complete daily cash balance reports and revenue statistics.
  • The candidate will create, enter, update, and maintain paper and electronic records in support of department operations, including procedure and policy manuals, program statistics, inventory records, fee information, and operational data.
  • The candidate will respond appropriately to public assistance requests, user control matters, and building security issues, including lost children, lost personal property, and violations of facility regulations.
  • The candidate will provide administrative and clerical support to internal staff for various programs by assembling agendas, updating information booklets and notices, and preparing newsletters, brochures, and other materials.
